Having just done some testing on Mobile Web, this issue doesn't seem to be happening for me. I am able to search patients using upper or lowercase letters (and any random combination in between). What version of Open Dental are you running? Are you using Mobile Web, or Mobile Sync?

If you are referring to the manual process of highlighting the appointment and clicking the Confirmed status, then there is no way to specify a time frame for when that can be done. Once automated eConfirmations becomes available, you can set it up to send the confirmation message out to the patient...

The bug has been fixed and is available as of version 14.2.19.0, and we should now be okay to run in a Google Cloud SQL environment. We made an adjustment so that if the SET GLOBAL sql_mode ' ' is left blank it will overlook the permission issue.
