From what I see on our existing examples we have some reports that are close to what you need so it shouldn't take much time/effort to modify an existing report to be exactly what your looking for. To clarify are you saying on your linux server there is no inseditlog table in opendental? The capitalization of "InsEditLog" sounds like the issue but if you do not have the lower case table either that seems strange to me.
