Re: Is your root password blank?
to me there is a BIG difference between OD ALLOWING a user password vs when DTX made it IMPOSSIBLE to set one. i'm kind of a libertarian, and i suspect i favor big naggy popups that request a user password, rather than requiring one. if one IS required, then OD should set a default, otherwise there ...

isn't that pretty much the same setup we had at A-ville ?? worked great, and you could afford to keep spare workstations for swapping out when needed. ours were fully programmed with Win7, CDR, IOC, OD, etc. small enough to velcro on the back of a monitor, and treat the whole thing like a poor man's...

change large numbers of recall from prophy to perio
from what little i think i know, there is a "mutually exclusive" setting (somewhere) that designates each patient as either "prophy" or "perio" for their recall designation. now, after a year of using OD, we are looking to start actually USING the recall system, and have noticed that recalls can be ...

Re: How many appoitnemtns did we make today?
not sure this (55) is the right issue. it appears that 55 requests a "date of original appointment" and not the "date the original appointment was created ON" this can easily be confusing in human language, because an appointment has a date it is FOR and a date it was created ON. what i believe is n...

pontics not showing for teeth when missing {PICNIC}
this is a minor nuisance, and i haven't spent any time looking for the "why", but when a bridge is planned (or completed, existing, etc.) and the pontic tooth is missing, then the pontic graphic is missing from the chart display (seemingly in all graphic modes). if i mark the tooth as "not missing" ...

Jordan,
Your tireless efforts writing OpenDental are producing new features faster than we users can even read about them. It's truly awe-inspiring to watch the wheels turn.
You are not only changing software, my friend. You are truly changing lives.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

i'm poking around a bit and agree that the security issues prevent anything public as yet.
maybe with some sort of user-generated authentication key as a global login security, and perhaps using HTTPS to encrypt the requests, this could become a reality without much refactoring of existing code.
