Re: 6.3 to 6.4 Conversion Problem
Thank you Dr. Sparks for your help. I went back to an older opendental db ver.4.9 and converted to ver. 5.6. Re: 6.3 to 6.4 Conversion Problem
I manually set mysql user and password as root and (blank). I chmod 777 the mysql data directory. I was able to convert from version 5.6 to 6.3 with no problem. Only when I try to convert to version 6.4 and above do I get the error message.

Re: 6.3 to 6.4 Conversion Problem
I looked in the existing database and noticed that there is no autonote file. Should there be an autonote file in the opendental mysql database in ver. 5.6?

Thank you for your quick reply.
Yes, I install MySQl 5 on Ubuntu (Linux) as a file server. I converted an existing database (ver. 5.6) to ver. 5.9, 6.2 and 6.3 successfully. And when I converted the database from ver. 6.3 to ver. 6.4, I got the error message mentioned above.

I use the Krystal X easy sensors by Owandy size #2 and #1 with the Winger Bitewing tab for bitewing and the easy grip for PAs; They work fine. Now, you have to remember that a millimeter opening in the molar area translates to 2 or 3 mm opening in the anterior so the wire should not be a problem for...

Name Label Button
I would like to suggest a Name Label Button be added to OD. This would help those offices with charts. A small button in the appointment module next to the "next/find appt" button would help to print label for new patient chart.

Refreshing the graphic teeth chart
One feature that would enhance the accuracy of treatment planning would be the simultaneous update of the "BIG" graphic teeth chart of procedure as they are being entered into the computer. The graphic teeth chart would be on one monitor screen and the charting module on another monitor screen. This...
