I submitted this as a feature request #10191. Search for it by typing "Automation of Charting"
Please cast your vote so we can get it implemented into the next version of OD.
Thanks to notsosuperman1 for coming up with the idea and writing the script.

Re: Free Text Messaging in OD by using Google Voice
After typing in the correct plug-in dll name: mopensoft.odplugins.sms.dll I was able to get to the Additional Fields and enter my GV user and pass. But now when I try to send a text I get this error: http://i68.tinypic.com/2cet6j6.jpg I followed the installation instructions to the letter. My OD ver...

Re: Free Text Messaging in OD by using Google Voice
I can't get it to work. I get as far as the Program Link. How do you enter the google user and pass in the Additional Properties? In my case it is just blank.

Re: XrayVision Imaging Software
I use OD with Xray Vision. Works great.
You can put up a button inside OD and name it XrayVision. Inside OD then you can click on the XrayVision button and the Apetryx imaging program loads up with the patients images.

Web version of OD possible?
Hello guys, I was just wondering with the announcement that Windows will now run on Chromebooks as a DaaS service, can we do the same for Open Dental? Here is the article: http://www.captees.com/chromebooks-can-now-run-traditional-windows-apps-desktops-vmware/ It seems to me that OD could be hosted ...

I was wondering if we could somehow utilize this free universal texting application with sending patient texts in OD. It claims to send Free Texts to any mobile phone in the world.

Re: Inactive vs Archived
Archived means the patient is history and will never come back. Inactive means that the patient has been gone for over a year, but might still come back. In practical terms....when the Inactive patient shows up at your office after a 3 year hiatus, he will still show up on the list of patients when ...

Re: My patient scheduler vs. Lighthouse 360
We just switched from Lighthouse to My Patient Scheduler. They both do pretty much the same thing, Lighthouse is $200, My Patient Scheduler is $150. If you think that My Patient Scheduler is hard to use then you should forget about Lighthouse. Their GUI is as confusing as it can get. There is no sin...

The Feature request #134, multipage pdf scanning into OD, is the most popular feature request. It has been for the past 6 months. Will it make it in the next OD version release? Can we please get an update on the progress of this feature, because a bunch of other lower ranking features cut in line a...

I was wondering if we are going to be moving towards charting the way that XCPT software does it. It incorporates a real pano shot and photos as the charting fields. Seems like the future to me.

Re: Nobody has requested a web version
Biggest advantage of a web version is that you can use it on any device.............Windows, Mac, Linux, Your mobile phone, iPad...basically anything you haven't even thought of...you could use Open Dental if it were in a web browser.

Single Click for touch screens
In Windows 7 one can choose whether to use single click or double click to open an item. (It's in Folder Options) For touch screens single click is ideal. However OD does not conform to single click, or at least I can't find anywhere an option to enable single click operation in OD. This would be id...

Re: Windows 7
I found out what the problem was.
After installing Windows 7, I did not have the automatic updates turned on. There is an automatic update for my Asus Etop on board graphics card GMA 950 that Windows 7 installs. After this update the 3D graphics chart shows up instantaneously.

Web version of OD
Hi Jordan, Since the Web Version of OD was discontinued because MS pulled to Silverlight license, I was wondering what you thought about programming it in revTalk. It is Free, Easy, Fast and Multiplatform. One programmer coding in revTalk can do the work of 10 programmers coding in C#. We could have...

Re: Windows 7
I just switched over to Win7 (32 bit) on my workstations and I notice that the Chart Module repaints the 3D tooth chart very slowly. Somehow every time I treatment plan something or add anything on the 3D Tooth chart, the tooth chart is repopulated tooth by tooth. Do you see the same thing happening...

Hmmm, would like to be able to do this from the statement button on the account page, just tried it but it prints 3 pages worth of stuff. Re: How to keep track of HIPAA and other forms
I think consent forms is definitely the easiest if you're trying to avoid paper. I honestly never thought about the issue of tracking which ones were signed or not. Consent forms would work if they could be loaded in the Terminal Window in OD. Right now the Terminal Window can't do this and therefo...

Re: How to keep track of HIPAA and other forms
I am trying to do the same. Right now I am installing PT Dental (Paperless Technologies) because they can keep track of all the forms that a patient needs to sign and they interface with OD. In theory, a patient comes in, you give him a tablet and they sign/ fill out all the forms on the Tablet. I'l...

Has anybody used Post-N-Track? http://www.post-n-track.com/
I read that it is completely free and bypasses clearinghouses. How does Post-N-Track compare with Tesia or Claim Connect?
Can we integrate Post-N-Track into Open Dental?
