I too called in to support reporting the Direct X problem. My charts are either blank or almost a quadrant or two of teeth are all grayed out. It also throws an exception error and crashes OD.

Nate... Yes I am giving the PPO patients a 10% senior discount too but not giving it to them at the same time... Lets look at the math here... Think your making it way more complex than necessary. OD needs to check if there is a discount plan before doing an insurance calculation. If so, it takes the new discount fee number and then follows all calculations the way it currently does. Discount fees should always be taken off first so you ar...

Why can you not have a discount plan and insurance plan on the same patient? I have several patients that have both. Today alone..dentalxchange had an upper and lower denture on one claim and an occlusal guard on another claim sitting in the claims with validation errors because they had maxillary and mandibular arches transmitted on the claims....

OD will run fine on Windows 10... @ Hersch... Too much work involved there... Set up a VPN (which you probably got already) between your home and office server and then install a copy of OD (the setup file not your database etc) on the home computer and tell OD in the choose database option where your data is at the office...OD will...

When you go into the "edit appointment" screen on a patient with a treatment plan the priorities/procedures are no longer in order and you have to hunt for the next appointment procedures. Is this a bug, expected new behavior or a setting needs changed somewhere I am missing?

Let me start by saying I like version 15.4....
Is there a reason though that the group notes got ignored? When you set up a provider color in the progress notes they only show as white. Also if you set your view to show signed procedure notes in the account module the group notes show as not signed.

I agree and want to not have the summary of care emails that I don't want sent showing. I just referred a patient to an oral surgeon for 26 extractions, 4 quadrants of alveoplasty and 3 tori removals so now I got 33 of these emails cluttering up my chart.

Yeah..got a letter from X-Charge stating that come October 2015 we need to have our equipment upgraded for the new chips in the cards or the liability for fraud is our responsibility. Noticed for some time now what might be a minor bug in the sheets topaz signature box... Not sure which update caused the problem. but.... the signature box looks normal on the sheet until you click on the spot to sign and then the right side and bottom side of the outline of the square disappear......

I also noticed that all my old " broken appointments within 24 hours" that used to be on my account screen from 2014 and older before this new ADA code.... got recoded with the new updated broken appointments feature to "broken appointment"..shouldn't they have gotten recoded to the other D9987 canc...

OP... Go into the procedure codes and find the "no fee" codes that begin with an "N" ... Find a block of numbers for example N4135, N4136, N4137, N4138 that are not in use to keep your list organized. Make dummy codes for example D4135 for "caries", N4136 for "open margin", N4137 for "overhang", N41...

Spoke with Dentalexchange...I will fill out the paperwork to receive 835's through their website. They said they currently cannot send 835's back to OD however because OD doesn't have the ability yet. Sounds like OD needs to contact DentalExchange?

When you get a credit card voucher from an insurance company have your staff call the insurance and ask them to reissue a check...you do realize when you run it through your credit card processer your are paying a credit card processing fee and percent of the already low insurance payment right?

Why do you want to see the lab slips in the images folder? I think that folder for lab slips was created way prior to having the lab slips work thru sheets. I always assumed that OD just left that folder there to view older lab slips for users that were scanning them there prior to using the sheets ...

If you highlight them it will not show all codes in numerical order....for example..I have code D01060 Detailed and extensive oral exam listed under the rarely used category...it shows way at the bottom of the list in numerical order but under the rarely used category..it takes way too long...

The screen shot tool in NEA does not necessary capture the complete screen. It is a little box that you drag to size it over what you want to copy...kinda like the crop tool in the OD images module... If I enlarge the image it cuts half of the EOB off so to see the payout numbers you usually lose the dates of service and patient name on the EOB screenshot...so currently I am taking a full screenshot of the EOB then magnifying it in 2 additional screen shots which is a big waste of time and...

Oh really? I never knew that. I had always assumed that you had to send claims for crowns on delivery date. If its legal to send it on prep date, then I'm fine doing it that way, and not changing the dates on the procedure. Thanks for the tip Jordan! I don't think that is true. At least around here...

One thing I noticed about the location of the scanned EOB's...I had the edit claim feature locked down in the security section and my front desk person could not click on the checks to open and view the scanned images...I had to increase the days they could edit claims to allow them to view old scan...

Ask Patterson for their price for the Scan-X without the Patterson imaging. If they say it is the same price tell them fine and you will place your order after checking with Schein and Benco for their pricing...the software is always sold separately and I don't believe Patterson gives anything away ...

far from a joke..there are plenty of offices that are not taking full advantage of PMS software...I couldn't be paperless with my old software too.. I would learn first how to build sheets..not sure if the trial lets you export sheets or if that is in a later version...if not in the trial ask if you...

yeah..i am totally paperless... I have all my medical histories, registration forms etc captured on a med history sheet at a kiosk...all my radiographs are digital.. you might get more answers and better help if you tell us how far along you are going paperless..ie do you do ANY charting in OD yet?....

Another vote for nope on emailing lab slips...why would the lab want to have to match slips to cases and we would still need something in the box for them to identify the case...maybe it can be hidden and placed in the setup options for the few that want it? I don't have a default lab email setup......

Well if I had a physical piece of paper I would use both sides and have them sign only the back because it would be easy to prove that the patient had access to the form..but with multipage sheets how do you prove that a patient read the form and completed each individual sheet?...Isn't it customary...
