Re: Free Text Messaging in OD by using Google Voice
That's awesome!!! Thanks for the clarification. One issue I might have is that I shut my served off everyday after work. Do you have to keep the server on at all times to receive the patients confirmations? Will the show up when we restart the server in the morning?

Re: Free Text Messaging in OD by using Google Voice
What I do is just place the patients phone number followed by their carrier in the email field. For example if someone has t-mobile I use 6519837278@tmomail.com or if they had AT&T 6519837278@txt.att.net. I then choose send email and it then sends the message to their phone for free. I am curious wh...

Tesia or Claim Connect?
Quick question, I have to change to an e claim clearinhouse tomorrow. I do under 100 claims per month and have been using Tesia Fax which just ended. Is there any reason not to use Tesia for E claims at this time? Is there a reason why Claim Connect is better with OD? Thanks

Open Dental Conference
Any interest in having an open dental conference? I know there are some amazing things that this program can do and I would love to meet with other users to learn how others are using it too!

Re: Confirming Recalls 1-2 weeks in advance
Hi Jason, I too, do all my own hygiene. In fact I have NO employees and send all my own reminders. With Open Dental it is so easy. With most of my patients they have provided me an email and/ or text messaging number. I put this number in the email line on the patient screen. I confirm all my appoin...

Posterior compostite estimates wrong
My treatment plan estimates for posterior composites are not calculating correctly for Delta PPO plans with an alternate benefit. With these plans when the plan allows for an alternate benefit, delta allows me to subtract the amount for the amalgam from my fee schedule not the "contracted" fee for p...

Re: SMS text messageing
Richard, Thank you so much for your post. I didn't know what I was going to do when Dental Senders starts to charge $150 to send out email and text reminders. Now I can do it for free in open dental, I had no idea that this was possible until I saw your post. So Quick and easy!!! Thanks again!!! Kar...

Re: Autonotes
Hi Jordan I absolutely love the autonotes. What you are suggesting I think would be fine. Once in a while I fly through the pop ups so fast that I miss something and can't go back until after the note is done and then edit. It might be nice to have one full page pop up and skip around. That way when...
