Re: Clinic column in 'Send Claims' & Med/Premed Flag
I am able to see all of the carrier names previous and new, in the claim history section. It might help if you called us and we could connect to the computer to take a look.

You can customize the routing slip under Setup|Sheets. Highlight the Routing Slip on the left side under Internal then use the button at the bottom that says Copy to move it to the Custom side. Once it is in the custom section you can double click to edit.

You can have the patient access the webform from your website to fill out on the ipad. You just cannot use the ipad as a kiosk which requires installation of Open Dental.

Re: F & V surfaces
What version of Open Dental are you using? (Help|Update to check.)
I am able to chart VF with a 1 surface code without it prompting me to change to a 2 surface code. I am using version 11.0.25.

If you save the treatment plan then double click the procedure you want to add the discount to (from the saved tp) you can add a discount, then just check the box under the "show" section to include the discount column. Re: Printing the manual
The software is updated so often that there is no hard copy of the manual. It is much easier for staff to use the Search link in the upper left corner of the website or from the software they can go to Help (very top of OpenDental) then Online Help Index and it will take the user directly to the Sea...

Re: Access denied for user- trial version
Are you looking for the demo patients in the trial version? If so from the Choose Database and you'll want to change the second field "DataBase" with the drop down menu to Demo, then click OK. It should open up Open Dental and you can go to the Select Patient window and see demo patients.

Re: error 24 & error 17
Newer versions of Open Dental are having issues with older versions of MySQL. A typical error is "Error 17", and it might happen a few times per day, requiring restarting the MySQL service each time. Since the errors are coming from MySQL rather than Open Dental, the only way to get the bug fix is t...
