I updated all of my WinXp computers seamlessly to OD v7.0. I also have one MacMini running VMWare Fusion 3 with WinXPPro. When OD loads it gives an error, saying,"The expected version information was not found in this file:\\DELLSERVER\OpenDentalData\UpdateFiles\Manifest.text. There is probably a permission issue on that folder which should be fixed"
I have looked for the file and can not find a manifest.text file on the server. No other computer has this issue and they are all logged in as the same user on the domain. This never happened on previous versions. Any ideas Jordan?
thanks.

OD 7 issue with VMware Fusion?
Re: OD 7 issue with VMware Fusion?
We had a similar problem on Monday with the manifest.txt file but no one was in the office due to the storm (East Coast) over the weekend since last Thursday. We were on version 6.9 at the time.
Shannon and James had to dial in to resolve the situation. They upgraded us to 7.0 and it was fixed. So something might be going on with that manifest.txt file. Very pesky to say the least. Support was stellar as usual.

Well, the one that you're getting the error on is trying to upgrade. It's at the wrong version. Run Setup.exe.

Re: OD 7 issue with VMware Fusion?
Jordan,
Where would I find the setup.exe. It's not in OpenDental folder on the machine that gives the error. I copied the compiled files directly onto this machine just like all of the others that worked fine.
thanks,
rich
Edit: thatnks, I figured it out.. I must have not copied all of the correct files into the Open Dental folder. I redid it and this time it worked flawlessly. Now my Mac works too, although the DirectX graphical perio chart is too large for the VMWare screen in unity mode..no biggy.

It's in your AtoZ folder.
