Adding new computer
We added a new computer(Win7) to our network, followed all directions this time. The server OS is XP pro, when we tried to connect the Screen on work station came up saying "The very first time that the program is run,it must be run as Admin. If using Vista.........."( Not using Vista) que pasa Jordan? I've been using OD since Elvis died and am thrilled with the program except when we add computers. Server is currently updated to 6.5.27.

Re: Adding new computer
Right click, run as admin. You only need to do this the first time.

Re: Adding new computer
I would like to add additional workstations on my peer to peer network (2 workstations in ops).
The problem is that I have maxed out the XP Pro "server" already with 10.
The question......
If I add a new computer running Windows 7 Pro and turn it into the "server", will this new setup allow more than 10 computers on the P-P network?

Re: Adding new computer
windows 7 works great, but you won't be able to use password protected file sharing if you are trying to access it from any other operation system besides windows 7. We had this discussion on an older thread, but i just wanted to give you a heads up before you purchase anything. I love windows 7 and we're using it almost exclusively now. If you want password protected file sharing across different windows operating systems windows 7 isn't the answer though.
