route slips printing issue

I'm running OD 12.0.26.0 and recently installed a new Brother printer. When printing route slips, we find that the printer is getting put in single sheet print mode. This did not happen with the old printer, and I believe the difference in printers is that this one is PCL 6 and the previous printer was PCL 5. All other OD printing works normally.
I'm thinking there is something in the route slip output that is being interpreted by the PCL 6 printer as wanting it to be single sheet fed. Any ideas or insight is appreciated.

Is printer hooked up by USB? Are you printing from that computer? That's usually the first setup to start with for troubleshooting.
