I am getting the following error when trying to install a backup copy of OD
to a new home desktop running Windows 7 Professional.
Incorrect information in file: '\opendental\tempfambal.frm'
Help!

Delete that file. Sounds like you have (or had) a mix of InnoDb and MyISAM tables, and that results in problems like this when backing up.

The link above isn't really going to help you with your issue; I just wanted to make you aware of it. Recent versions of OD do a good job of preventing this problem, so just make sure you are upgraded.

Couldn't find the file on my hard drive or the backup disk.
Backed up a couple of versions until I got OD to work. Then installed the latest version from the office.
Working as expected. Another bullet dodged!
