Do not bill insurance for certain procedures

Post by thatODguy » Tue Feb 10, 2009 2:19 pm

How do I set specific procedures to "do not bill insurance" according to an insurance company? An example would be I have two patients called Mike and John. Mike has Insurance X and John has Insurance Y. X will cover the procedure but Y will not. I do not want to send a bill to insurance X for Mike's procedure but I want to send it to John's Insurance Y. Thank you very much.

not billing an insurance for unreimbursable procedures is a Bozo Nono.

You can do it on a case-by-case basis from within the procedure edit window for each patient. But not any automated way that I can think of.
