Unscheduled List

Post by atd » Thu Jan 21, 2010 11:28 am

Our Unschedule List is getting out of control! I don't think we're intentionally sending patients to it. As far as I can tell if you have an appointment on the pinboard (other than the planned appointment) and you click "clear" it automatically sends the appointment to the unscheduled list without telling (or asking) the user. This happens a lot when we use the "Schedule Family" button for recall but don't schedule every family member. Is there a different way to clear the pinboard if you decide not to schedule the appointment for some reason? Could the user be prompted if they want to send it to the list instead of it happening automatically?

It certainly shouldn't be doing that. I will try to verify.

I guess it's not the schedule family/recall that causes it, it's when you "create new appt". If you follow these steps it will happen every time:
- Make/Find Appt
- Create New Apt
- Click OK
- Click Clear
- Make/Find Appt - you'll see it's on the unscheduled list.

(One other note: After clicking Clear, the Make/Find appt button doesn't work - I have to refresh the appointment module to "reenable" the button.)
Using Version 6.8.31

OK, I think I remember this now. I think we decided to have new appointments start out as unscheduled so that if someone shuts down their computer it doesn't leave a "scheduled" appointment with no date or time. We don't want the database to be inconsistent. The behavior you are describing is a side effect of that decision and is annoying. I've put it down as a bug. Thank you.
