Referral letters/Progress notes

I had put a post up a few months ago (below) regarding referral letters showing up in the progress notes, so that once scanned in the doc could easily see in their progress notes during visits that one was received.....i was told that a feature request 758 and 97 could be in the works for these issues.....When looking at the new version 7.0 it does have some patient form updates and i was wondering if this would pertain to my previous question? Thanks!!

We are fairly new to Open Dental...wondering if it is in the plans to be able to name the letters that are created in sheets and the letters that are stored in Images. For example, when we have a patient sign their Financial Policy in sheets, it just shows patient letter in the progress notes. Regarding the images tab, we feel it would be a nice feature to be able to scan in a letter from a specialist and it show in the progress notes as "Dr Generic letter recieved", with the date it was scanned in. Do you forsee any plans to create this possibility?, otherwise you have to constantly look in images to see if anything new came in. Also, maybe the possibility to be able to add a progress note that is not attached to a {Content Not Allowed} code, so that in the event that we talk to a specialist regarding this patient, we could note the conversation in the progress notes as we would in the chart?? Yes, a description is feature request #758, and I consider it very high priority since it's not that hard to implement.

The images showing as line items in Progress Notes is request #97.

758 is done, so the description will now show. But scanned images still do not show as line items in Chart module. And although the new Forms feature wasn't designed for scanned letters, I don't see any reason why you couldn't include such an image category so that it shows in your list of forms. But I don't see how that would make it any more accessible than having the user look in the images folder itself.
