Recall Trigger Inconsistencies
Recall Trigger Inconsistencies
We seem to continue to have trouble with triggers on recall types. Lots of our perio pts have a recall type set as Prophy even though the procedures they have had completed are listed in the perio trigger setup. If we don't manually check every pt, lots of our pts that should be on 3-4month perio recalls end up with 6moRecall prophys scheduled using the "Recall" Button. Anyone else having problems with this?

Re: Recall Trigger Inconsistencies
The staff does need to properly set the desired recall interval for each patient. I can't even quite imagine how we could properly guess what the interval might be if nobody sets it. I guess one possible feature request would be a tool that helps you change the interval for many patients all at the same time based on some criteria.

Yes, I know you have to manually change the interval if it is off of normal, but I meant that it does not set the status as "perio" (which is set to default to 4MR) instead of prophy (Set to default to 6MR) when the perio triggers are completed...isn't this how it is supposed to work? (most of ours are prophy unless we manually click "set perio" even after just completing SRP or perio maint appt/procedures which are listed as perio triggers.)

Re: Recall Trigger Inconsistencies
No, it's not supposed to change the recall type or interval automatically. But I supposed that the way you worded it is a reasonable approach to automation. That's the first time I've heard it quite like that. I just added it to the feature requests as 2311 so that we wouldn't forget about it.

Well, that make sense then! This whole time I thought it already did that but for some reason wasn't working right and that was why we always had to click the "set perio" button. Our staff will greatly appreciate it when that automation feature can be added.
Re: Recall Trigger Inconsistencies
will automation ever be revisited and developed?
