We are starting to treat sleep apnea and will be filing medical claims. We have been told that we should keep separate charts for medical and dental. Paper medical charts were even suggested. However, after 4 years of Open Dental and paperless, I think there is a better way.
I believe it could all be in the same data base with each patient having a separate medical chart and a separate dental chart. When services are listed in the medical record, a medical claim would be generated that could print on the red medical form 1500.
I'm sure this is available in OD, but I don't know how to find these features.
Has anyone done this?
