Compliance is about to get painfully expensive for all involved...Regardless, I can already feel the cost of healthcare tumbling down! Can't you?
The noose is tightening on business associate compliance. The states are stepping in while HHS is dilly dallying. If you are a covered entity in Massachusetts you must get "satisfactory assurances" that your business associates are compliant. If you are a business associate be prepared to provide proof of compliance.
