yes, Jordan said there were too many things holding back development trying to wait for the mono folks to keep up with .net I think mainly...and he just moved over to DirectX from OpenGL, so I think linux compatibility is no longer really feasible.
...i am a big Linux guy...but mainly for the server...too many driver issues with digital x-rays, etc, to make it work on workstations I decided anyway...so I am good with it.....and the fact that Win7 is so good, it restored my faith in Microsoft...

We phased out Linux for workstations a long time ago. I think my comments were that we don't plan on returning to try that again. Linux will, of course, continue to work fine for the database server if the user wishes. But we won't encourage it due to difficulties supporting it remotely.
