TrialVersion.exe updates?

Hello OD staff-

Is there a hard and fast rule for when the TrialVersion.exe available for download gets updated?

I see it's at 18.3.x and OD is currently at 19.2.x with 19.3.x in beta.

I track the lowest version my users are on so I know how far I have to backport major bug fixes. However, new users will mostly start at whatever the trial version is at. So I right now I have to backport to 18.3.x, 18.4.x and 19.1.x, whilst maintaining 19.2.x and (soon) 19.3.x.

Not complaining mind you, just would help with my planning around releases.

Hi Bill,

The trial version is usually released one version behind stable soon after stable is released. The trial install was updated to 19.1 late last week. There are occasions where the trial version may not be updated when stable is updated due to needs from different teams here. This why 18.4 was skipped when 19.1 went stable.
