Request to Enable 'Other' Claim Type in Open Dental API

Dear Open Dental API Team,

I’m encountering an issue while attempting to create a claim with the claim type Other. The API returns a Bad Request error with the following message: "ClaimType may only be set to 'P', 'S', or 'PreAuth'."

Would it be possible to update the API to support claims with the Other claim type? Please let me know if any additional information is needed.

Claims can be very complex. It is pretty rare to use 'Other' (3 or more dental insurance plans) or 'Medical' (oral surgery or hospital) claim types. Are you asking out of curiosity, or do you have an API use case?

Currently, we have a use case for Other Claim Type. As Open Dental software supports medical claims, just ask if we will support that or not.

While we're researching adding 'other' claim type, we can also research the feasibility of 'medical' claim type. However, from my understanding, both use cases are very small.
