Does open dental flush read lock the tables when the inbuilt backup tool is used?
Ive been playing around with mysql administrator and its schedular is only daily at best, is there no better hourly schedular? What is the liklyhood of corruption using something like syncback pro which backs open files long term using shadow copy? I can schedule this hourly.
I dont wish to run mirrored RAID hence my query.

Re: Mysql backup
We backup live databases all the time. After years of doing so, I have never run across a corruption. Still, there is a slight chance it could happen.

Great thanks, i guess the chances if i run hourly backups to seperate folders means that if one is corrupt the one prior should be ok. With the small risk i think il take it, thanks again.
