Where to charge lab fee?

Post by Adeline » Tue May 03, 2011 9:18 pm

Hi there
I am a newbie to open dental. I am having trouble placing the lab fee so we can deduct from the employee dentist.
We normally pay the employee dentist a percentage of the fee less the lab fee. However I am having trouble putting that in a report that shows it all.

Thanking in advance.

Do you know what the lab fee is going to be ahead of time, or is it something you enter later when you get the bill from the lab?

Something that we enter later after the lab sents back the invoice!

Thanks

You could create a dummy family. Each dummy patient in the dummy family would represent a different provider. You would then have a place to enter those adjustments without them affecting any real patients. When you enter the adjustment, put it in the correct provider dummy patient, assign the adjustment to the correct provider, and make a note about which patient it is for.
