Rx Security

Post by atd » Fri May 13, 2011 6:47 am

There's only one security level for prescriptions in Open Dental - Rx Create. This seems to be an area of the program where it would be important to have delete as a separate security permission. I also noticed that the audit trail only tracks when you create a prescription, not when prescriptions are deleted. Can the security on this be enhanced? I'd like to be able to see if employees are deleting prescriptions - that would be a red flag if a lot of delete entries were showing up in the audit trail.

Another concern about Rx Security...

Anyone can open, edit (i.e. change the date, drug, etc) and print prescriptions in a patient's chart. If they don't have the authorization to create a prescription, they should not be allowed to edit or print one - only view it.

This seems like a high priority issue, anyone else agree?
