Attach Items to an appointment/procedures - Clipboard style?

It would be helpful if a feature could be implemented where we could attach more items to an appointment (or maybe procedures?) such as images, scanned Pre-Estimates, etc that are pertinent to a certain appointment. Similar to how we can attach lab scripts to appointments, I am envisioning a "Clipboard" of attachment items.

Example: You schedule a patient for a bridge which you submitted the pre-estimate for and received two months ago. It should be entered in the tx plan, and scanned into the images. You also have a signed copy of the financial agreement worked out and signed with the pt scanned in the images. I would like to be able to "put a copy" or "attach" those scanned documents to the appointment so when the pt comes in you have the pertinent info "paper clipped to the pt's chart" if we think of it back to paper chart days.

Any other ideas thoughts on this?

This might be something I will look at developing for my plugin...looks like no one else is interested...
