Automated import of xrays into Images

Post by asceticwonder »

Hello world,

My other office's dental management program automatically picks up images dumped into an export directory of the xray management program.

Can Open Dental be made to replicate this type of functionality? We do not use advanced imaging functions - it would be nice to not have to run another resource consuming database along MySQL just to handle xrays. (Schick's free program installs SQL server :? ) If the radiographs sat in reasonably sized reasonable quality jpg files in the Images directory that would suit us just fine.

Thanks,
Jacob

Open Dental does not have that functionality. It sounds like this is what has been requested in feature request #363. You can add some of your office's votes to it to move it up in the power ranking.

No. A singular vote was applied to that feature request over the years.
The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.
