Billing/Exclude If Insurance Pending Issue

In OD 5.5, selecting "Exclude if insurance pending" in Billing does not "exclude" accounts with "insurance sent" status. Does anyone experience the same issue? How to exclude accounts with "insurance pending" in Billing? Thanks.

I'll put it down as a possible bug until I can verify it one way or the other.

I just tested it in 5.6 and it works great. I don't think that logic has changed since 5.5. Remember, the criteria for exclusion is that InsPending must not be zero. So make sure you actually have an estimate, not just zero.

This is a Catch-22 situation. This office doesn't use Insurance Estimates. So, the InsPending is always zero. Can we include (in future releases) a criteria to exclude billing if insurance claims have been sent even without ins. estimates? Thanks.

Not anytime soon. Tell them to use insurance estimates.

when you say you don't use insurance estimates, do you mean you are using the "balances don't subtract insurance estimates" option in the Setup | Misc window or you just don't have any estimates calculated at all? You should be able to still use them and have the program work for you billing, but then not have it effect the account and statements by using this....
