I updated to 24.3.35 for the new year and found that now periapical x-rays D0220 and additional PA x-ray D0230 do not specify the tooth number as they use to. Is that correct? I didn't know if the ADA had changed it and do not require the tooth number for that procedure code.
Thanks for any input... I do not have the 2025 ADA code book yet to check if it mentions requiring a tooth number for the code.

I believe it's always been a setting in the PM software that you can set to force a tooth number to include. You can change it back to reqire the tooth number. Go to Lists, Procedure Code, enter the PA code double click it to openthe edit procedue code window. Top mid right you will see the treatment area box. If mouth is highlighted a tooth number will not be required. If tooth is highlighted it will require a tooth number. Hope that helps
