Capitation Plans

Post by mbansal »

Hi,
Quick question about Capitated plans.
I have one capitated plan in my practice. All of the patients are entered with this insurance company and it is set to capitated. On each individual account there is a balance of 0.00 which is what it should be, but balances still print out on my aging and outstanding insurance claims report. Am I doing something wrong in how I set up these patients, or is there a way to avoid seeing these balances as "outstanding" claims in my weekly reports?

Thanks.

A claim will be outstanding if it is sent and not received. Maybe mark the claims "received".

HI Jordan,
But it still shows up in the Aging report as an unpaid claim. Is there a way to get rid of that. The balance is 0 on teh patient's account under the Account Module.

I don't quite follow. Claims don't show in the aging report, only in the outstanding claims report. The aging report is for showing patients with balances. Is the aging report showing an inaccurate balance then?

Hi,
Well, yes, I mean in the aging report it is showing a balance for the patient, but when I go the patient's account, it shows a balance of 0.00, (which is the correct balance).

The problem I think is in how the aging report pulls its data for the balances of the patient. The balance should be zero, but it shows a balance that is "overdue."

It could be a million different things. We would need to see your screen.
