Is this plugin still a valid way to have secure email from inside OD?
Or is there a better way now? Thanks

Re: Archive vs. inactive
Would there be a script to change all archived patients to inactive? My front person has been marking all as archived instead of inactive for the past 3 years, and we have been slowly changing as we see them. I did print a list of all archived patients too.

Re: Tablet help
I just purchased a really cheap tablet on sale for my kids to take overseas next week for wifi/ skype, email, etc. On a whim, I came to my office today to check it out since it has Win 8.1 installed. We're talking $49, digiland 8" Intel Atom 16 GB, 1280 X 800, quad core. Anyway, it works. I test ema...

Re: HIPAA Compliant Email
How does the group feel about a Hipaa Compliant secure platform that allows referrals between providers within the "network"? All communications would flow within this platform allowing a "one stop shop" location for all referral management. Anyone interested in participating in a Beta Test? Was ju...

Re: Referral button
I forgot about that one... Which reminded me, you can always show the referral window from anywhere in Open Dental if you use the quick key combos: Ctrl + Alt + R OR Ctrl + X Is there a list of these QKCs? - I can't find them in a search - seems like they would be useful to have. I'm trying to find...

So, for Apteryx is this still the one you recommend (a year later)? I can't tell from your recent driver posts which camera is recommended now.Justin Shafer wrote:MD830

Re: tracking model box numbers
We just made a custom field under Patient Information for dx models - we don't number but date them - to me that's more useful so I can see how relevant the models may be. We store them by date too. Easier to toss the oldest ones when space is needed. We also needed a field for our "Whitening Reward...

Re: CRM - Customer relationship management?
Gary, Yes, I'm a longterm Club LH user too. I've been with PW for 14 years. I agree with the part about catching my breath, as we customize OD, but I actually enjoy the exploring of the program. It may take me a few months to compare the customization / automation aspects - I also wouldn't want to r...

Re: CRM - Customer relationship management?
... First some background. I'm a PracticeWorks user looking longingly at the many features Open Dental does so elegantly. IMHO PWorks isn't being cared for properly by it's present owners so it looks like a dead end street for me. PWorks however has the recall system(and many other systems includin...
