I realize OpenDental cannot intelligently know whether a crown is initial or replacement, but since our choice is almost always Initial, it would make sense to have it default to that and we could edit it if it was not.

How do I submit a feature request?

Is it possible to change the order of the Procedure Codes list? We would like to be able to sort it alphabetically rather than by category.

It would be nice if the Procedure Codes List would default to the By Code field when opened, rather than the By Descript field. We search much more frequently by code.

Is there a way to make prosthesis and crown codes default to Initial for the Prosthesis replacement field? It is extra time and steps for us to reopen each procedure and select Initial whenever we make a claim.

An issue we are having is that claim status automatically changes to Sent whenever you print a claim. This is a problem for us, mostly with preauths, since we print 2 copies for our paper chart and file. The person doing this then has to remember to change the status back to Waiting to Send so that ...
