Calling all query wizards!

Goal:
Generate a database of patients with a particular insurance, filtering list to include only patients that have been seen within the last two years, say from 1/1/2020-now. We need to do a mailing to include only patients that fit these parameters. Can you help?

Re: Payment by one insurance company over a given period of time

Thank you so much, this is exactly what I was looking for, to include the amounts paid by the patients. Have a great day!

Payment by one insurance company over a given period of time

We are considering changing our participation status with a particular insurance company. To help us weigh the pros and cons, I would like to be able to generate a report showing payments from only this insurance company for 2021. I do not see a way to do this using any of the reports features offer...

Re: Use a discount plan in addition to insurance coverage?

Thank you! I think the simplest solution for me right now is just applying a discount to each procedure in the treatment plan equal to the amount of the usual adjustment and removing the write-off. I'm going to vote for that feature as well.

Use a discount plan in addition to insurance coverage?

Our office is considering going out of network with Metlife. We are out right now as we recently contracted with an umbrella company and are waiting for them to recognize us as in network under the umbrella company. As a result, we have noticed that the out of network reimbursements for Metlife are ...

You know what would be really cool?

And forgive me if this is already possible..... I am working through flagging patients in the system who have analog panos on file that need to be destroyed once we have a digital pan for them. I am doing this aplhabetically. It'd be great if when you pull up the "selct patient" window, it would aut...

Merging Conditions/Allergies

We recently started using Flex for forms and communicating. we are having an issue with duplicate medications, conditions and allergies. For example: we had already entered Fosomax in Suzie's medication list, and she now updates and includes it on her Flex form, then it duplicates. Same for medical ...

Re: Membership plan discounts for 2 different Drs with different fees

When we set up our in house discount plan, I copied the practice default fee schedule to a new fee schedule titled "MFD DiscountPlan". I then used the fee schedule tool to decrease the fees in the new schedule to 15% off. I then assigned that fee schedule to our discount plan that I had already crea...

Re: A universal robust Blue Book

This is a great idea! We have some insurance companies that we do not participate with and it's so tedious to wait for EOB's to come back to piece together some form of fee schedule, and there's no way to accurately predict co-insurance for incoming new patients w/unknown insurance plans. Id gladly ...

Losing info on forms.

We are having an issue with forms....we are using eClipboard, and patients are filling them out with no issue. However, sometimes when they finish and submit them, the forms are showing blank in Open Dental. The form itself is intact but the information is gone. We had a suspicion that the issue may...

I am unable to edit the points field. That entire area of the screen is "grayed out". I can place the cursor in the box, but cannot type anything in.

Re: Separate patients from insurance plans they are no longer attached to

This request cannot be seen because the OP didn't vote for their post prior to hitting submit. I'm wondering if they were able to, because I tried re-doing a query request I made because I did not realize you had to vote for it to be visible to others. However, the field area where votes, weight,dif...

Separate patients from insurance plans they are no longer attached to

I have been working on cleaning up our insurance database. The only thing I have not been able to accomplish is find a way to detach patients from plans they are no longer using. Because of this, I am not getting a realistic number of subscribers shown with each insurance plan. Does anyone know of a...

Re: Umbrella fee schedule

To add to what user joes already said:We work with several umbrella plans. I made a fee schedule for each umbrella company and named it as the umbrella company and added the companies covered in parenthesis. For example : Zelis (GEHA, Assurant, Guardian). Then for each plan I just assigned the Zelis...

Re: Marking Patient as VIP (same-day only)

For me, the easiest way to do this would be to add a pop-up for the patient. That way anyone that looks the patient up would be immediately alerted as to their status.
