I do exactly what you say, and I second your request.

I've also been using the scanner's software in order to get PDFs, which it seems to me are both more readable and smaller in filesize, and then importing them into OD. It would be great to have it automated, but I'm not holding my breath.

A simple addition: 'unspecified' or 'unknown' family status. I don't know every patient's family status, and it seems silly to label them "single" if they're not, but there's no good alternative.

You can still get 2008 express from MS. It's free. Why not just do that?

I get the CDT problem too, in 2008 as well. You just have to tell it where to look (Required Dlls directory). For some reason it doesn't find it automatically.

I think there's a simple thing that could improve this: Currently, the cursor defaults to the "Allowed" box when you hit the "Enter Payment By Procedure" button. I think it would make more sense to go to the "Ins Pay" box, since it's more likely to be used, which would cut down on people accidentall...

I'm on 5.8.5 OD. I've actually gotten it to work by making a brand new account on one computer (wouldn't work on the other) and using it there. I can only assume that TesiaLink is somehow incompatible with some software or setting on my usual account.

I agree-- actually, I wouldn't mind another order either, so long as there was one. It just seems that for some reason, if I enter Prophy 4BWX +1PAX +1PAX +1PAX, I usually get something like +1PAX Prophy +1PAX 4BWX +1PAX. And that's just weird.

The ordering of procedures is driving me batty!

I enter, say, prophy, then 1st Xray, then Additional Xray x3. Then, when I switch to the account view, it's ordered as

Drives me nuts! Looks sloppy too. Please do something!

As a minor addition, in our practice most of our patients are in the same area code, so I prefer to type in the phone numbers with 7 digits, but OD still formats them like 10 digit numbers (i.e. (123)456-7 instead of 123-4567). Claims have a slot for PreAuth Number, but preauthorizations don't. I think it would be handy if, when you'd recieved a preauthorization, you were prompted to enter the number, so then when you submit a claim for that procedure, that number would be automatically filled in.
