I think we solved the problem...it wasn't open dental, it was a plugin I believe. No crashes for the past few hours (it was every 5-30 minutes before this) for any Pt Express users - be sure to update your server program regularly for pt express as well as your client plugin...that was the problem. ...

your printer probably got messed up with a paper size setting. You need to go to the printer IP interface and reset the paper size to normal letter

looks like the default depots slip sheet changed now that I look into it further? I edited a custom version without the duplicate numbers on top and I guess that solves the issue for deposit slips. I will have to look into missing info on statements...

A good compromise would be to disable the resizing when the mouse is near the module buttons and leave it on when it is below in the blank space, nearer the bottom of the screen on the left side.

I got a Canon imageFORMULA DR-C225W II this year and it works great. Only one needed for multiple computers up front since it has a network connection. I also have quite a few smaller Canon imageFORMULA P-215II for a smaller individual computer scanner.

I have not figured out what causes this yet, but I had five "phantom" payments that showed up as checks on the deposit when they were entered in as credit cards. When I ran database maintenance, it did clear them. Will let you know if another one shows....

They don't show up in Images, but I think that features should be implemented where they show in on the insurance check and also in the images module under an EOB section like statements do already. Much easier to find later on that way. They should show in both places.

I corrected it manually for this one, but yes, Linux is case sensitive and I usually leave my installation as case sensitive rather than turning it off to find errors. You don't need to mount drives anymore, at least with all versions of windows 10. Just set your path to "\\server\oddata" (substitute the actual path) instead of "z:\" and I bet it will work and you won't need to worry about mounted drives on different accounts.

hum, just had it do it again today. Completed prophy code and created insurance claim and all of a sudden the fee jumps from $83 to $581 (x7). I checked and the base units were still at 0 on the procedure code. I had to use my newly created similar prophy code from last week to check the person out....

i would say you are cutting out business by turning pts away who haven't not seen you in a while...work them in, do an extra RCT when they arrive or schedule them for that hole in your schedule on Tuesday, improve you bottom line and help that pt at the same time.

I have done it numerous times where i type a note on an appointment and then accidentally hit cancel instead of OK, VERY frustration...I would second getting rid of cancel altogether or at least giving a warning to be able to "cancel" the accidental cancel...

Was able to replicate. Happens if you start creating an ins plan and then cancel out before saving. It crashes as soon as you hit cancel and the inerrant plan get added.

I just upgraded to 16.4.26 and discovered you can't complete "Note" appts if you turn on the new feature to not allow appointments to be set complete without procedures attached. If you could make it not apply to "Notes" that would be great. Thanks.

I would go to 10 while you have a chance...no downsides, all upsides I have found. Speed is greatly improved over Win7. The normal free upgrade is over...unless you enable accessibility features and then upgrade...then you can still do it for free.

I would advise skipping RAID as well. Just use software to copy your data from one 1TB drive to the other a couple times a day and it will be MUCH easier to restore from a failure. (I still use the the old "Karen's Replicator" for duplicating data in this fashion to other computers for extra backup!...

Sheet Images and Text Boxes
Any way we could get the dynamically filled text boxes to show through a clear background instead of a white box? It really messes up background graphics. Thanks.

I am using windows 10 preview on a couple of computers...works flawlessly and what windows 8 should have been: the quick, light, speed of windows 8, with an actual start menu, ALWAYS a task bar, and all programs opening in a real window instead of that full screen junk...after all, this is WINDOWS....

Hamachi is great, the only time is is not always reliable is on a computer that goes in and out of sleep, like on a laptop.
