I did call support and they used the databaseintegritycheck tool under Program Files (x86)\Open Dental to fix it. Took a few minutes.

I use apteryx and the reason I went with tuxedo sensors is because it's the same company.
Supposedly there is a twain driver, but I don't have any drivers labeled as TWAIN in the flash drive that came with the sensors.

My "server" is only another desktop I built myself for a dedicated server, so unlikely it has tpm. TPM looks to be proprietary to intel? My dedicated server is an amd based box. The more I've read, I think I'm going to just get Win8.1 pro and use bitlocker to encrypt the mysql and A-Z folders. I have to upgrade my server from xp anyway, so this will kill two birds with one stone.

I went paperless a few months after I started using opendental (year and a half ago) and what I did was bought a brother 8860dn all in one printer and an epson v700 scanner for the xrays. The brother scan duplex and I would really caution you to scanning all of a patient's history into one document....

Backup seems to be A LOT quicker as well (5min vs 1hr), but not sure if quick format is what did it or because of my new build. I'm backing up 5.11gb of A-Z folder/images, and 4gb of Suni digital xrays.

How do you enter in an insurance plan that PAs count towards a patient's deductible? Also, how do you select BWs etc are counted in contract year vs calendar year?
