I did find a workaround for the mail merge.
If you export the file into the calc (excel like) progam, and then merge it from there into open office, then it does work.
But yeah, it could be alot smoother.

I was having the same issues, but once you put the data from the cd into the directory....... off it goes! What a great feature!

I took the recall file to a friends house.
They have microsoft office, and the merge works like a charm.
I can't figure out why the output file is incompatible with openoffice.
Do enough users use open office to make it worth fixing?

I have just downloaded 5.1.13 and open office still sees the merge as one string.

I have been trying to get the mail merge in open office to work. But every time I attempt to import the text which I have saved from the recall screen it cannot seperate out the rows/columns. A quick question about recalls.

I would like to send a longer recall letter than the suggested post card sized one. Additionally, I would like to format it for a DL envelope.
