Re: XP Pro and Internet Explorer
Well, If you keep two different user profiles (login ID), then it should be fine. One is the universal logon, with a simple name and password and disabled Internet, and one for you and other senior staff who has access to internet. When you send to Renaissance or whatever, you just have to login as ...

Re: XP Pro and Internet Explorer
Hi Everyone, One quick way to "disable" the internet from a certain user is to the Internet Options Feature, click on Connections, and then LAN Settings. Set up a proxy server, with any server number (10.10.10.10). Obviously this server doesn't exist, and thus will DISABLE your internet for that use...

Clearinghouse
Hello all, A friend of mine just told me about OfficeAlly.com which is a FREE dental clearinghouse. I am curious to try out the service, but I noted that OpenDental doesn't have this clearinghouse listed under "setup." Does that mean we can't use this clearinghouse? If this is not currently support,...

Recall postcards
Hi,
Was just wondering what type of postcards are people using when generating postcards from OpenDental? Are they using Avery? If so, what model #? Thanks.

Re: Capitation Plans
Hi, Well, yes, I mean in the aging report it is showing a balance for the patient, but when I go the patient's account, it shows a balance of 0.00, (which is the correct balance). The problem I think is in how the aging report pulls its data for the balances of the patient. The balance should be zer...

Re: Capitation Plans
HI Jordan,
But it still shows up in the Aging report as an unpaid claim. Is there a way to get rid of that. The balance is 0 on teh patient's account under the Account Module.

Capitation Plans
Hi, Quick question about Capitated plans. I have one capitated plan in my practice. All of the patients are entered with this insurance company and it is set to capitated. On each individual account there is a balance of 0.00 which is what it should be, but balances still print out on my aging and o...

PerioChart
Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to print periocharts by selecting which periochart to print by date? Right now, all of the prior periocharting prints on one form. When I am submitting to the insurance companies I sometimes don't want them to see prior exams, just the one I am billing for. Tha...

Re: two offices in one OD db
Out of curiousity how did you connect your two offices to one database? using a VPN or terminal server or some other means? We tried using VPN but that was too slow over a commercial DSL connetion (3.0mbps) and terminal server wouldn't allow the tooth charting feature to work well, so we eventually ...

Claim Inquiry Form
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has the Claim Inquiry Form (CIF) for Denti-Cal in California loaded so that it can be printed from Open-Dent to fill in the basic information such as office information patient demographics. We had inverted two of our NPI digits recently and are getting tons of denia...

Digital Xray suggestion
Hello all, I am using the EVO DentX program for capturing digital xrays. I am able to bridge to the program and transfer the patient demographic information, however, i was wondering if there is a better way to bring the images from the EVO software back to Open Dent. Right now, I am manually export...
