Why does it seem so impossible to add something as simple as date of last pano on route sheet

I too am having problems with the recalls. The Pano that was set to 3 yrs. is now showing 5yrs. Also the prophy that is set to 6mos and 1day has dates that are not correct, however they were. Problem now is that I am not able to generate any kind of reliable recall list. Any suggestions? Thanks
