Vaccine Tracking
We will be providing vaccines and need to track Brand, Lot/Serial Numbers, and Dosing with reporting to Oregon's Alert Immunization Information Service. Will OD be providing functionality for this? Barcoding scanning could be helpful for this too, is a standard already implemented for OD and are the...

I've searched the forums and can not find an answer anywhere.
Is it possible to reprint the credit card transaction from OpenDental when a credit card is charged?
Thanks

Command line options with WebService and user login
When using command line options for webservice it drops you into the webservice "select database" screen unless you enter a username and odpassword. Is there a way to get straight to the select user and enter password window and skip the "select database" window without logging in as a specific user...

Re: Windows 7 and Multiple Locations
Hey Jordan, Thanks for that reply last year! I was looking around and found all of the command line arguments and they are exactly what I was looking for! These work great on our Windows XP systems, but Windows 7 Systems say "Files will now be copied. Workstation version will be updated from 12.3.23...

Re: Print Preview Unhandled Exception
I finally fixed the problem by uninstalling all ".Net" references, OpenDental, and CutePDF Writer (just for fun), in "Add/Remove Programs", rebooted, (for some reason Windows Updates broke and I had to fix that too), reinstalled all updates, .Net, and OpenDental, and that seems to fix the problem.

Re: Print Preview Unhandled Exception
I have also tried reinstalling OpenDental and reinstalling Adobe Reader (assuming that is what is used to display the print preview).

Print Preview Unhandled Exception
We've run into this problem in the past before, its a "Per-User" problem and I believe it has happened on Win7 and WinXP machines. The only way (so far) I've figured out to fix it is to delete the user account and recreate it. It seems to be random and once it happens, it is stuck for that user acco...

Re: DRBD Cluster
I've tried using DRDB a coupe times.... all with failure. I only have a limited (decent) understanding of linux, and I could never get the drives to sync.
If you've got this down, that is AWESOME! It sounds to be a very powerful application.
Any tips/tricks?

Regence Clearinghouses
We just got a letter in the mail from Regence saying they were planning to go paperless and we needed to pick a clearinghouse to go with. The two options were either Office Ally or Availity.
Has anyone hear anything about this?

Re: Backup
The main reason I can think why the backup is the way it is because multiple versions of your backups are good in case something odd happens in your database; you can go back through multiple backups (multiple dates) and find out when this happened and why. Example, If a patient's info got deleted 5...

Re: Storage of Patient Photos
It stores them to a folder with the patient's name on a server where the database is hosted (usually, you can change this). When you are in the Images Tab of the program it is very easy to view all of the X-Rays and Statements in that folder. You can even email Images/Statements directly from this s...

Re: Printing directly on default printer and not PDF
Sounds like you might have the "Prompt" box selected.
Go to File>Printers and next to Statements make sure you have selected the HP Printer and that Prompt box is UNchecked, should print directly.

Re: Install problem
If you haven't already, You could try running the New setup as an Administrator by right clicking and selecting "Run As Administrator". You could also try using a program such as "Revo Uninstaller" to uninstall the program completely, then try installing OD again. OR you could try uninstalling/reins...

Re: Thin Client from remote server location for 3 offices
You may consider hosting one server per location, then having all locations sync data between themselves. If you are hosting everything offsite I think you will experience a lot of lag. Main issues will be when you take or view digital X-Rays. For syncing OpenDental we use the built in Master-Master...

I looked all over when I was first setting up the site. I thought that since I couldn't find it, it was a newer version and it did it on its own. But yes, that fixed it! Is there a possibility you could update the site and add this picture: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y58/greatabyss/IIS32bitmod...

Hi, I setup the Web Service on a 2008 x64 box, got IIS installed and everything setup, then when I go to connect to the application through open dental on a different PC it displays a html format message that is rather long, it looks like the entire configuration file. When attempting to access the ...

Our Dental office purchased Simplant and we were curious if there is any development for a bridge application to put these images in the a-z folders with correct patient folder and whatnot.

Windows 7 and Multiple Locations
Hello All, We have 3 locations with 3 different databases. We've been using the FreeDentalConfig.xml with a simple batch file to copy to the OpenDental program directory then it automatically loads the database that it is configured for. Since Windows 7 has come out we've been doing some testing and...
