Their spec sheet says that they export data in HL7 format. That'd be good news for us if it's compatible. Let me make some calls to MindRay. I'll let you know.

I am running into a new problem with eRx. I have about 12 DEA numbers. eRx is set up with just one of them, so that I don't have to pay for 12 accounts. eRx sends out that DEA with each eRx, but it uses the selected clinic address instead of the address tied to that DEA. Just upgraded to 17.4.12.

Open Dental is scaled properly until I get to the login window. It's at that point now that the scaling gets munged as described above

Well, this is odd.

I let it sit for a few hours and the problem has vanished. Maybe some quirk with VS 2015 debugger IDK.

When procedures are set complete in the Appointment book module in 17.4.7b, the resolution of the program will change to a very high resolution that is impossible to work with, at least on my Dell XPS 13 laptop, The appointment book cannot be interacted with.

I also had a bug prior to 17.3.8 where when I would treatment plan third molar extractions, the teeth would be grayed out on the left half of the tooth chart. I just upgraded to 17.3.8 so I'll let you know if that problem still persists

I hated Dragon when I used it about 10 years ago. It was far easier (and faster) to just type.

I'm sure it's improved since then but it was pretty clunky and annoying to use.

I was able to put the code at the bottom of ConvertDatabases4 in a custom script and run it on a backup of my database. This seems to have fixed the problem.

I'll pay better attention to whether the ConvertDatabases script runs when I update in the future.

FYI, I reverted all the way back to revision 15861, but the problems persists.

Then I hopped into my way back machine and went back to revision 15497, which was around November 1st. And the plugin loads then, so it seems something might have changed on your side between now and then.

I couldn't resolve the nameof stuff so I just commented out those lines as it doesn't really affect building of the plugin.

Cryptic NewCropRx message

Sometimes authentication fails (I guess) when trying to send an eRx with NewCropRx.

NewCropRx will display the cryptic message '-TFA' and I have to go back and re-enter my ECPS password and the 6 digit code I get via text.

What does this error message mean?

As a workaround, I was able to create the table with a single field JobRoleNum and it works now. It seems that is a db table OD staff uses internally anyways, so will this create any problems for me down the road?

They seem to print for me if I copy the Statement sheet over and muck with some of the fields and save it.

I want to be able to select a row(s) in a table by having a checkBox in the first column of a table, similar to DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn for DataGrids. But the equivalent is not available in ODGridColumn, so no way to achieve this in OD (at least not with ODGrids), right?

OK, so problem #1 is fixed.

But the provider address always fills in with the address, city, state and zip (as setup in Setup > Practice) instead of what I want, which is the address of each individual clinic.

I have multiple providers with multiple clinics.

When I print prescriptions, everything is filled in properly except the state DPS number - that is always filled in with the DPS number for the first clinic I created. Is this a bug?

I think you should be using outbound port 587, not 25, as a lot of ISPs block port 25 to combat spam.

Office 365 is HIPAA compliant, but you'll need to sign a business associate agreement with them.

I think you'll be disappointed with Bluetooth network performance, as it's much slower than WiFi.

Also, the range even for a lower powered Bluetooth device can still be as much as 30 feet, so someone could still theoretically be parked outside your office and pick up a signal...

Which version of the GPL is Open Dental distributed under - v2 or v3? Also, I'm trying to determine what our obligations are under the GPL regarding plugins. Have you mapped a network drive where the Vixwin images are stored? If so, what letter of the alphabet does that drive letter show (eg., O: , M: etc)? Does that drive letter show up under Drive for database image files dropdown in Vixwin under Options > Preferences > Database? Is Bridge selected in ...

Bernard- If one can operate a Denoptics unit in a Win7 environment, why does Gendex support, claim that it can't be done? I don't know. But it *is* possible, because I'm doing it 8). That probably means you have one of the older SCSI Denoptix units (you're using a Denoptix to develop your xrays, right?). You can use that with Windows 7 (I am) depending on the SCSI card that's in your PC (usually an Adaptec 29320A is usually the only one that works), but you'd have to load some o...

Bernard - Vixwin works just fine with OD. we've been using it for years that way. It should be in bridge mode however. You should map a network drive that points to the drive where vixwin's VxData folder is. UAC (Windows User account control) will prevent Vixwin from seeing the networked drive prope...
