Re: Letters and merge

True, it wouldn't scale to two pages. But your second example is supported by Open Dental. Your sheet def would have a fairly short section for the letter. Then, as long as the text box is set to have a growth behavior, then it will push the signature box down as it grows.

Doesn't this just seem like a database issue? Can't you just write a quick query to strip \n out of procedure descriptions? We wouldn't allow that character in through our UI, so you shouldn't allow it in through your import tool. I suspect that it creates other problems as well.

Re: Scanned .pdf file size

I don't know if what you mean by "compression" is actually "resolution". I see that you can change the resolution. I don't see anything in the software about changing the compression. No, compression. Specifically, it says, "JPEG Compression - Quality After Scanning". Don't you see that option? If ...

1. The way we designed it already works for multiple patients. The scan is not attached to any single patient, but to the insurance payment itself. 4. There is a section in the claim edit window for eob explanations. I know the feature is buried too many layers down right now. We couldn't quite figu...

That's why we added 6 more scanning options in 12.2. We also upgraded the twain version. 12.1 works fine for lots of people. But if it doesn't work, the next step is to upgrade to 12.2 and start changing your scanning settings.

No. "...Click the View button directly below that to view or scan..." The key phrase that you're not noticing in the instructions is "or scan". You need to click that View button to get to the interface where you will then scan. It doesn't go into any category in the Images module.

Try version 12.2. It gives you more settings, and it remembers those settings per workstation. I can't remember if you can change compression for multipage scanning in 12.1, but you definitely can in 12.2.

It's minutes of inactivity. Just set it to 30 or 60, and that will take care of the night crew. Even better, do the same thing with Windows, and then OD will also log itself off when Windows logs off. You have to enable that setting in OD next to where you set the time limit.
