Privacy, data collection and forum moderation
The IP address of all posts are recorded to aid in enforcing these terms. Any information entered by users is stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, neither the Open Dental Forum nor phpBB shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
Open Dental Forum has the right to remove, edit, move or close any content in the forum.
No hate speech, bullying, or inappropriate material
Be kind and courteous. Degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity will not be tolerated.
Do not post abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where Open Dental Forum is hosted or International Law.
This forum is not a replacement for support
In-depth issues cannot be solved effectively here and should be directed to Open Dental Forum support. This is not a forum to air complaints. If you have an issue, please contact us directly so we can work together toward a resolution.
No promotions or spam
Product or service promotion is not allowed. Do not use this as a marketplace to promote products, services, jobs opening, etc.
Do not respond to a user question with a sales pitch, solicit DMs or calls, or ask people to check out services.
Do not make unsolicited posts advertising or promoting third-party products or services, regardless of affiliation or compensation. Recommendations should only be given when explicitly requested by a user.
Third party affiliates may answer questions about their company or correct misinformation but must disclose their affiliation on each comment.
Users giving feedback on a product or service used in their practice is allowed.
Respect privacy
Do not share screenshots outside the forum or directly contact other members (including Open Dental Forum staff), unless they have asked you to. Do not look up and mention another member’s employer or other personal details in conversations in the forum.
Agreement to forum rules
By agreeing to the terms, you are agreeing to abide by these rules. Any member found violating these rules may be banned with or without warning.
