Units for Recall Scheduling

Post by dand » Fri Apr 30, 2010 9:11 am

We do not schedule the same amount of time for a recall for each adult pt. There are some patients that take an hour others take 30 minutes. (ex. College kid vs a perio patient). It would be nice if we could have a column on the recall report that stipulates the amount of time the DH would like for the patient's next recall.

If after completing their progress notes, the DH could put a number in a box - ex. "5" to designate 5 units and that this number would be listed on the recall report. Then the person scheduling recall would know how much time to schedule.

Also this number could easily be adjusted at each recall if the DH wanted to change this for a patient (ex. - pt now has a full max dent and needs less time)

Also, a patient's recall interval is not on the chart screen. This would be nice information to see during the exam, as we often change a patients interval (ex. 6mo to a 3 mo recall).

Maybe a solution would be a line in the "patient information" on the chart screen. This line would show the recall interval and the amount of units required for a recall. To change the recall interval we could do the current steps to do so. To change the recall time units we could go to the patient information screen and edit it there.

What do you think?
