Shooting tethered with DSLR into Images?

Post by Smilesbypayet » Fri Nov 19, 2010 7:14 am

Hey, does anyone know if there is a way to connect a DSLR, such as a Canon XSi, to the PC via a USB and shoot tethered, with the images being transferred to the PC while they're being shot?

Also, are there any ways to add "tags" to images, as in Lightroom, Picasa, Aperture, etc?

I am really looking for a way to use the best photography tools to simplify workflow and consolidate programs, 'cause currently, I don't know of any PMS imaging software that does what I can do in Lightroom in terms of cataloging/searching. Don't need advanced editing capability, although it would be sweet to integrate cosmetic imaging into this, too.

How about the Eye-Fi cards? they send images wirelessly

Would it work? There is also the solution with a wireless transmitter attached to your canon.

By using the included USB cable you can do this:

HOpe this helps,
