Timecard Break
After 4 months of having a staff member clock out via selecting "Break", it came to my attention that this time was not being deducted from her work hours. This method was utilized during short breaks during the work day, whereas "Home" and "Lunch" were utilized otherwise. Was our system set up incorrectly, or is this a glitch?

Re: Timecard Break
That is by design. Short breaks are paid. Lunches are not. You might be from outside the US. Here, we are required by law to provide 10 minutes of paid breaks for every 4 hours worked.

This is only in a few states that you are required to pay for breaks...I had never heard of that until I just looked into it.

We wondered the exact same thing when our emplyees were "clocking out" or so we/they thought and then found out the breaks do not count!
It would be best Jordan to enable a feature that allows you to choose if breaks are counted or not. Seems it would be an easy calculation option and would save a lot of people some headache and $!
