Listing Referred out procedures in the treatment plan
Listing Referred out procedures in the treatment plan
Is there a way to display procedures that have been marked "referred out" in the treatment plan view so when I print it out they can see what is referred out?

That's not a bad idea. It would be nice to be able to do that. In the meantime a workaround is to mark those procedures as TxPlan. Give them a different priority from everything else. Save and print out the tx plan - the referred procedures will be separated from the other procedures (write "referred out" next to them on the print out). Then change the status back to referred. Even after you change it back to "referred" it will remain in the saved tx plan, with an "x" in the "done" column. It will disappear from the default tx plan, but it will stay visible in the saved tx plan.drmaximus wrote:Is there a way to display procedures that have been marked "referred out" in the treatment plan view so when I print it out they can see what is referred out?

Thats a work around but requires a lot of entry, can I request a feature: a "show" check box for "referred out" like they have for fees under treatment plan?

Sure you can. Anyone can request anything. But you'll need to get a lot of people to vote on it to make it happen, or make a nice pledge.drmaximus wrote:Thats a work around but requires a lot of entry, can I request a feature: a "show" check box for "referred out" like they have for fees under treatment plan?

Re: Listing Referred out procedures in the treatment plan
You could also create a treatment plan priority (in set-up definitions) called "referred" and this would list separately in the tx plan, but as Joe mentions, it loses its actual priority ranking when you do this.

Re: Listing Referred out procedures in the treatment plan
We setup dummy no charge procedure codes for referrals that will show on the treatment plan. We still use the "referred" status for the actual procedures on the teeth we're referring out, but with these codes we can at least see something on the treatment plan.
REN - Refer to Endodontist - N4201
ROR - Refer to Orthodontist - N4202
ROS - Refer to Oral Surgeon - N4203
RPD - Refer to Pediatric Dentist - N4204
RPE - Refer to Periodontist - N4205
REN - Refer to Endodontist - N4201
ROR - Refer to Orthodontist - N4202
ROS - Refer to Oral Surgeon - N4203
RPD - Refer to Pediatric Dentist - N4204
RPE - Refer to Periodontist - N4205
