We currently own an Epson Perfection V750 Pro, which is awfully slow and with an upcoming requirement of having to digitize the records of 50 patients for the past five years, we are looking to get something faster.
I've looked at the Microtek Medi-2200 Plus, but with no reviews out there and the higher price, I'm not sure if it's worth the money.

Not as elegant as a scanner, but a lot faster, is a point and shoot in macro mode and a viewbox. My camera is 12mp and gets incredible detail. I use this same camera (Pentax Optio WG 2) as my main clinic camera. its also the same one that Lester Dine uses.
