Medications into patients' charts
Medications into patients' charts
We have a questions. Is there a pre-arrange default for the medications patients can be on. Its hard to put medications in when we don't know if it is a generic or an actual medication. Since the generics is on the default we have to go to the internet to find most of them and it is very time consuming.

Thanks;

Re: Medications into patients' charts
I would suggest a drug reference book. The index will have the spellings, and that goes quickly.

If you have an internet connection on your workstations, drugs.com is a quick way to look up medications.

I use drugs.com as well, however, it does take awhile to build your medication list....
Is there a way for Open Dental users to export their list and share it with another user?
Are there any plans to be able to search the list....my list is getting pretty long at some point it would be nice to be able to search the list similar to the search function for the patient accounts.

I agree a search would be a nice added feature.
Another problem I have is it would be nice to add more than one medication or illness at a time.
My big wish would be that there is a list provided by Open Dental. Although it isn't that hard to enter a medication into the list here and there, and the file does grow... I get patients every now and then that have 20 or more medications and if at least 3 are not on my list I am really held up by this.
