6.1.5.0 Hygiene provider not getting set
6.1.5.0 Hygiene provider not getting set
When moving appointments between hygienists, or when moving an appointment of the pin board to a hygiene room, the provider does not change and the check mark "use hygiene color" does not seem to get set. I have no default hygienist set up for the operatory but have set the hygienist through the schedule.
Thanks!
Thanks!

If you set up a dentist schedule for those same ops, it should work.

Re: 6.1.5.0 Hygiene provider not getting set
I set a dentist as the main provider and now provider does change correctly but the "is hygiene/ (use hygiene color)" check box still does not toggle.
Thanks!

I don't think it should toggle. You're not using operatory defaults, so how is it going to know that it's supposed to toggle? You could set up default providers for the operatories, and if you set a different hygienist for a certain period of time, it will override the operatory setting. And I think, although I did not just check, that it would then automatically toggle the IsHygiene box.

Re: 6.1.5.0 Hygiene provider not getting set
I went and set a default Hygienist and Dentist to the operatories. However, the "is hygiene is still not getting toggled.
When we schedule a new patient for first new patient cleaning and exam it shows up on the pinboard with the color of the default dentist. When we drop it into to the hygiene schedule OD ask if we want to change provider which it does, but it still shows up as dentist color. The front desk has to toggle "use hygiene color" for every hygiene appointment.
This problem is new to 6.1
Thanks!

Just keep in mind that you are talking about two different functions here. One is dragging between ops. The other is dragging off the pinboard. Which one is the problem? Or are both a problem?

I'm having the same problem.
Re: 6.1.5.0 Hygiene provider not getting set
Also Dr Sparks how do we go ahead in setting up other types of recalls to show up in the patients field? We would like to possibly use it to check on ZOOM whitenings a year after. Thanks Tracey

I started a new thread for that unrelated question.

Re: 6.1.5.0 Hygiene provider not getting set
This issue actually started in version 5.9. Before that, you could drag a hygiene appt to an op assigned to another hygienist, and it would change hygienists. You can work around this by also assigning a dentist to each hygienists operatory, but much of the time you want to change hygienists, but NOT the dentist because you have already determined who will do the exam. So then you have to change the dentist back by editing the appointment. That is, if you even noticed the dentist got changed, because the appointment is using the hygiene color.

Re: 6.1.5.0 Hygiene provider not getting set
Just checking on the status of this issue. Since we have multiple providers using multiple operatories we're assigning providers to operatories using the Setup->Schedules rather than Setup->Operatories. Today I have 2 hygienists scheduled. The patient ended up being moved from one hygiene chair to the other and it asked if you wanted to switch providers - answered yes. It switched the secondary provider to the new hygienist, but it unchecked the "Is Hygiene" box. Same thing happens when dragging from the pinboard. I don't want to set these operatories up as hygiene because sometimes they are not. Couldn't there be a checkbox for "Is Hygiene" when adding providers to operatories in the Schedule setup? Or, since the provider being assigned in the schedule is marked in the Provider table as a secondary provider, couldn't that be the indicator?

Didn't the fix for version 6.1.16 solve the problem? What version are you on?
