School info in e-claim

I use claim connect. It seems to me that school information is not showing on the e-claims. Is it a bug or because I miss something? Thanks.

I see student status going out, but it doesn't look like there is a place for school name. And the student status only goes out for dependents, not for the subscriber. E-claim format does not match one to one with printed format. Carriers are not expecting the school name if using e-claims.

Thanks for the quick response. You are right. The A_D_A claim form doesn't have a space for school name. The e-claim form of claim connect has a space for school name. The claim that we sent is for Ameritas. They rejected it because we didn't put school name in it. We have similar situations for other insrurance companies. We ended up sending paper claims with school name written on them.

Hello,

There is no official place for the school name in the electronic format, but we have come up with a "work around" for Delta CA that might work for other Payers as well. In the claim notes, enter "COL school name" without the quotes or other punctionation. OpenDental should output this in an NTE (note)segment of the 837 claim file that gets sent over to ClaimConnect. I don't believe we have arrangements with anyone else, but most do look at the notes on the claim so I would try sending some with the school name there.
